Medique Pharmaceuticals has presented each year since 1991, the Medique
Unique Leadership Award in recognition of the outstanding abilities
of Occupational Health Nurses throughout California State Association
Occupational Health Nurses.
The objectives of this award are:
- To encourage development of leadership skills by members at the local
association.
- To recognize leadership of Occupational Health Nurses at the state
level.
- To increase awareness of the role of the Occupational Health Nurse
to both employers and the community.
- To assist with educational efforts of the California State Association
of Occupational Health Nurses through a Medique award.
General Information
The award recipient will receive a $100.00 award and a commemorative
plaque. This award highlights a commitment to occupational health leadership
by Textilease Pharmaceuticals.
Candidate Criteria
- Three (3) years as a California Registered Nurse with a minimum
of one year (1) in the field of Occupational Health Nursing at the
time of application.
- Active, Associate or Student membership in AAOHN/CSAOHN for the
current year and past year.
- Provide
a current resume which includes current and past leadership activities
- Submit
a one-page statement of professional and educational goals to
include:
- How the financial award obtained will be used to enhance your skills as an
occupational health nurse leader
- Illustrate creativity and commitment to leadership with specific examples
- Describe what motivates you to seek leadership opportunities
